What affects the cost of statistical analysis for a thesis?

Understand what to compare in a statistical-analysis quote: research questions, data preparation, tests, deliverables and changes in scope.

Updated

Compare scope before price

Two quotes for a thesis can show different totals because they include different work. One may cover only a test table; another may include data preparation, analysis, a results chapter and documentation. Ask what is included, what is optional and what would require a new quote before deciding which offer fits your study.

The questions that shape the work

Start with the number and type of research questions, the data structure and the outputs you need. A repeated-measures design, uncertain coding, missing documentation or open-ended responses can require work that a simple comparison does not. A named test is not enough to price a study until the outcome, predictors and design are understood. The analysis-choice guide can help you describe those elements.

For Statikali, the current pricing page explains the configured components and rules in US dollars. The quote shown for your study identifies the selected work components, each hypothesis and any additional analyses, together with the total. Review that quote before approving paid analysis. A price missing from the live list is not a promise that a component is free.

Two scopes with itemized prices

These published research examples were priced by the pricing engine against the reference list checked on 20 October 2026, for one output language. They are illustrative study scopes, not issued customer quotes or fixed prices for all similar studies.

ComponentBasic studyAdvanced study
Data preparation$30$30
Descriptive statistics$30$30
Reliability analysis$30$30
Preliminary factor analysisNot selected$30
H1: Pearson correlation$15$15
H2: Multiple regressionNot selected$25
H3: Welch group comparisonNot selected$15
A1: Additional regression modelNot selected$13
Total$105$188

The basic scope combines $90 in work components and one $15 hypothesis. The advanced scope combines $120 in components, $55 for three hypotheses and $13 for the additional model: half of $25, rounded up to the next whole dollar. Factor analysis is a preliminary measurement component, not a fourth hypothesis. The additional model was explicitly defined for this example; an additional analysis in another study needs its own agreed scope.

Compare the basic itemization and advanced itemization with the research plans and downloadable deliverables. Counting hypotheses alone would miss the components needed to prepare and describe the data.

Compare the deliverables as well as the total

A scoped package can include a results chapter, a relevant methods supplement, discussion guidance, explanations, decision records and compatible software files. Prepared data and a codebook depend on the preparation component; graph workbooks depend on suitable results. Discussion guidance is not a complete discussion chapter or literature review. The deliverables page explains those distinctions.

Ask these questions about any quote

  • Does it identify the data preparation and descriptive work separately from hypothesis testing?
  • Does it say whether questionnaire reliability, open-ended responses or additional variables are included?
  • Which tables, writing, code, compatible output files and decision records will be delivered?
  • When does the delivery clock start, and what happens if a clarification is needed?
  • How are corrections to in-scope work handled, and what counts as new work?
  • Can you reduce the scope before approval, and does the total update accordingly?

When the service opens, the free consultation will help define the work before you approve a paid analysis. If you have a file already, prepare it and its codebook before requesting a quote. No generic price range substitutes for the actual scope and live quote. The website currently provides information and examples; consultation and ordering are not yet available. Basic example · undergraduate level

Academic self efficacy and learning persistence

A questionnaire study with two scales and one association hypothesis: reliability, descriptive statistics and a Pearson correlation.

Advanced example

Job autonomy, supervisor support and work engagement

A three-scale study with factor analysis, reliability, three hypotheses including regression, and an additional background-adjusted model.
