Statistical consultation and analysis

Statistical consultation

Clarify the question and available materials, then review a written recommendation before deciding whether to buy an analysis.

What the consultation helps you decide

You can start with a research question, a questionnaire, a data file, or a description of what is still missing. The consultation connects your aim to the variables and study design, identifies information that needs clarification, and outlines a possible analysis. It does not promise that a named test will fit before the materials are reviewed.

What to send

Describe the outcome you want to study, who or what each row of data represents, how observations were collected, and any assignment or repeated measurements. Include the questionnaire, codebook, data file, and university instructions when you have them. Remove identifiers that are not needed for the consultation. If your data are sensitive or restricted by an institution, ask about suitability before uploading them.

What you receive

The free consultation produces a written report about the question, the available materials, proposed next steps and points that need your decision. If a full analysis is feasible, you can review a separate quote that specifies the analyses, deliverables and price before approving paid work. The consultation itself is not a completed statistical analysis or a guarantee of a particular result.

Inspect a consultation report and quote

The basic study asks whether academic self-efficacy is associated with learning persistence. Its study brief and questionnaire explain the question and the items behind each score. A useful consultation connects that question to scoring, reliability checks and an appropriate analysis rather than naming a test in isolation.

Open the consultation report and itemized quote to see the recommendation and selected work separately. The example illustrates a particular scope; it is not a quote for your study. All inputs and outputs are available without uploading your own data.

When consultations open, the report delivery target will be 24 hours after email verification. New consultations are currently closed. The initial report and quote do not commit you to buying an analysis.

Common questions

Do I need finished hypotheses?

No. State what you want to learn and which variables or measures you have. A missing definition may need clarification before an analysis can be scoped.

Can I ask for help before collecting data?

Yes. Describe the proposed question, measures and collection plan in the consultation. The resulting report can identify information to clarify before an analysis is scoped; it does not constitute formal approval of the design.
